Tag!!

Well, I have to admit that I was rather excited to sit down & think about myself! I have never been tagged so this is a new thing for me... it took me a surprisingly long time to think of 6 characteristics that 'mean' ME. But none the less here they are...
6 facts about me you may or may not know...

1. I am a bit OCD with my housework. I have a spot for everything... if it doesn't have a spot it drives me crazy! I like things in a particular place & order. When people come over and move things... I wait until they are gone & then promptly move it back. My closet is all color coordinated, and my folded shirts are color coordinated and are stacked from long sleeve to short. I actually love cleaning my house and getting everything in order.

2. I love to cook!! I should have gone to culinary school... maybe I would have done better there! I love to try new things and experiment with old dishes to spice them up a bit. I am loving being at home because I have more time and energy to cook dinner for my sweetie. I try to make something different every night, so if we have chicken one night then pork chops the next... and so on. Keeps things interesting! The one thing I hate about cooking is the cleanup! I don't mind doing the dishes the rest of the day but I won't cleanup in order to cook or after... and the kitchen HAS to be clean for me to cook in. So luckily I have a husband who likes to make me happy!

3. I am a HUGE Q-tip fan (not the rapper). I love getting out of the shower and cleaning out my ears with a Q-tip!! It just finishes off the whole cleaning experience! I also have to dry off between each toe after I shower, it just feels so great!!

4. Projects, projects, projects! Whether I am doing home improvements or making crafty things. A girls gotta stay busy! I am an avid decorator of my home! I could redecorate each month. I am constantly adding new or changing old to keep my craving satisfied. Painting is a great way to change up a room and I am always looking for things to paint! From furniture to my new bread box... I could paint the world! I love holiday decorating but try to keep it to a minimum since we are still not settled. The one room I have a huge issues with is still my bedroom... can't seem to get it right! And since we have a queen... crazy I know... I don't buy any bedding. We will be getting a much needed Cali King as soon as we can! I will be posting some updates of our house soon...

5. Buying stationary, and hoarding it, is another fetish. I buy new cards all the time... but I never to seem to write to anyone. Even though I have a storage box full of unused cards, I still buy and buy. I just cant pass up a cute set of thank you notes or a great blank card! My favorite stores are Target, of course, and the Paper Source, in Crystal Court... it's like a paper dream come true!

6. I am a Parisian at heart! (see the blog below...) No, I don't speak French... yet. And No, I have never actually been. But despite these facts, I Love it!! I have dreamed of going there for so long and I can't wait for the opportunity to present itself! I look forward to eating croissant form one of the many boulangerie, and strolling in the parks, visiting all the wonderful museums and and eating at the quaint cafes. Until then... a girl can dream.

OK, so I am supposed to tag 6 others... Brittany, Kristin, Niccole, Nicole, Shellie & Melissa!! Have fun girls!! xo

Perfection!!

You Belong in Paris

Stylish and expressive, you were meant for Paris.

The art, the fashion, the wine!

Whether you're enjoying the cafe life or a beautiful park...

You'll love living in the most chic place on earth.

SO true, so true!! I was so excited that Paris is the "city I belong in". Because, even thought I have never been there... it truly is!! I have always been in love with the Eiffel tower, and the fact that my good friend Katie met Rod Stewart there doesn't hurt. It also is to my great advantage that there happens to be a professional volleyball league in France... so maybe at this time next year I will be posting this blog from across the Atlantic!
