visitors... part 2

EL YUNQUE!! aka rain~forrest

{having my mom here was the absolute BEST thing! sadie was excited to see her nana too! however, we did not get a lot of pictures together... sad. so when she visits us again we will get lots to make up for it! miss you tons mom... can't wait to see you again!}

vistors... part 1

VOLLEYBALL!!

we took our visitors to experience a little volleyball when they came. russell had two matches while they were here that were close enough to go to. we enjoyed some of the delicious lime slushy~type drinks that this guy makes with fresh lime juice... so yummy.

{and she passed out before the night was done. this picture reminds me of her younger days. i love how she passes out & her little smoosh face appears. she just doesn't do this that often anymore, but i still love to hold her while she is sleeping}

the beach.

the other day we were able to go to a beautiful beach called cerro gordo. it happens to be about 5 minutes from where we are living & is ranked at the top ten of puerto rico's most beautiful beaches... so we are gald we finally found out about this treasure. and it truly is absolutely beautiful! 
{we met up with the hatch family... we didn't know them at home but have a few mutual friends. it was so great to meet them & we hope to be able to spend much more time with them & their beautiful daughter. it's fun because their little girl is just 2... so now sadie has a little friend... & so do i at that!}

we are receiving some visitors tomorrow... my mom, & her friends amy & jo & one of my friends katie!! we are soooo excited to have some family & great friends coming out to see us. can't wait!! the stores i was elling to have been doing so well with my stuff that they want more!! yay! i am so excited & my mom is bringing a suitcase full of fabric & all the necessities... i had people telling me for so long to start an etsy shop... any thoguhts? i have heard both good & bad about selling through them, katie h. was telling me that one of her friends said she didn't think it was that worth it after all is said & done... so not sure if i want to go there... but now would be the perfect time to start, since i am so far from home & longing for a little creative outlet. another thing is that i think it's pretty saturated with the kind of things i make {burps, bibs, blankets & now wipes cases per request from one of my shops} honestly, i would love any input you might have.

more friendly faces...

last week russell's team played against victor's. victor is a friend that played at byu for 3 years with russ. it was so fun to see him & nicci & the kids. sadie was so entertained by jiovan & corbin. which was great for me! and it was nice for me to have nicci there to chat with. so great to see them... and look forward to going to mayaguez the next time they play.{jiovan & sadie playing with his trucks}

{i have been reading... a lot! which has been really great. i have read 3 books... the boleyn inheritance, something borrowed & something blue... & i am almost finished with this fun little number. i totally judge a book by it's cover, i loved the covers on all of emily giffin's books & i am enjoying reading them as well, fhew! my copy of breaking dawn, which my fabulous cousin haley pre purchased for me~xo, is on it's way & i can't wait to 'sink my teeth into' it... sorry, i had to.}

{daddy & sadie playing in our pool, we like having the pool around when we don't feel like dealing with the eating of the sand fiasco... she is getting better with that since we got her some toys to preoccupy her & she has really been enjoying collecting sand, rocks & shells for her bucket... but she still can't be trusted.}

island living.

we have been firing up the old bbq as often as possible... literally a ghetto little one, but it works great. russ has become a pro & i am especially loving my man cooking up part of the meal! 

roasting marshmallows... one of my all time fav treats.

here is the little 13 month old... looking cute as ever. she has such a little attitude now. which is sometimes very entertaining, she cracks us up all the time, but sometimes can be very trying. she knows exactly what she wants, i feel like she is already a 2 year old... she sure does keep us on our toes. her nana & papa bought her those crocks... while i was not around, they are not my fav fashion accessory. but it turned out great! they are the perfect shoes for here, she pretty much wears them everyday... roaming around the complex, chasing the lizards & going to the beach & the pool! if anyone can pull them off it's my little beauty girl.

while you're here... thought i would introduce you to our new neighbors...

sadie & i are at home but the boys are playing on tv. so myself & our roomy celena {one of the other player's wife} decided to watch the game from the comfort of our couch. tomorrow night there is another home match that we will go to... and this time i will wear the least amount of clothes possible!
